My new companions...Elder Heimbigner and Elder Yates

Las Vegas, New Mexico

I'm in Las Vegas!

I am in Las Vegas New Mexico it is amazing it is forest farm land.  I am so happy here you wouldn't even know how happy I am :) I lo0o0o0ve my new area I would live here.  :D

We have 15 members in our branch and I met every one of them.  :) Yeah, it’s just basically like going to a family party, the building is small and the people are awesome.   And we are gonna build it up.  Our area covers 5 or 6 towns out here it is big stretch up Holman over to Wagon Mound and then to Las Vegas. And now we currently have 8 or nine investigators.

Sometimes there isn't always enough missionary's or areas so they put us in a trio.   My new companions are Elder Heimbigner and Elder Yates and they are awesome.  XD
My morning has been great, we did some laundry and we went shopping.  Since we are 30 miles from the zone we have to watch of our miles, so we can’t do sports every p-day, so instead we usually have Nerf wars and stuff or for service we do move people, or do construction and yard work.  Them Every Sunday we go to the Psych hospital here to see some excommunicated members.

Last Week I'm Albuquerque!

My week was good.  We went to the park and some other places this week and we were able to talk to 60 people.  I've been out for a year now and we went to Saggios which is a Italian Pizza place.
We have  now1 investigator  the weather is good.

The District

Kneeling on the ground from left to right Is Hicken, Powel and Van Leeuwen. standing up is  Roylance, Street, Sister Falentine, Sister Nye, Sister Wilkinson, Sister Hunt, Elder Fowlke and me.

We’re having p-day today, because tomorrow is transfers and I’m going up north! Any ideas as to where? But I am kinda sad to be leaving but now the area can boost.

The other day we woke up and weekly planed  until dinner then we ate at the Bowdens and they are awesome people.   R is a contractor and then D goes mountain biking and broke her leg but she still made dinner for us and she is awesome. Then after that we invited our investigators over and watched 13 miracles for family home evening.

This week I started reading the book  Jesus the Christ and I have been learning more about our Saviors atonement and been learning more about truth of God and Christ.   I am grateful to be serving this mission and this work has brought so much joy to me.

We have been working with our ward mission leader to find more ways in contacting people. Currently the most progressing investigators are R, V and M

A house of pass along cards

A race car!

We contacted someone who was selling this Corvett.

A Pink house, A Waterfall and A Missionary!

A Road Runner

A 49ers home!

It was rough week we are currently teaching 10 investigators and 5 less actives,
and then some of our lessons fell through.  But then on Monday we just went crazy contacting houses and people on the street and we were really hoping for some more baptisms.

Missionary work in general is not hard, the physical labor is easy.  But it’s hard when people don't want anything to do with you then your mind makes you doubt yourself. And your mind contradicts itself and it’s hard not to give into self doubt.  But then you gotta remember why you are here and who you are representing.

My comps great and we spend a lot of time studying so that we can to help provide people know what we know, and to help them grow in the gospel.

This we have been spending a lot of time expanding our horizons in our teaching pool and our new investigators that we have are doing good. :)

I think that the greatest thing in life for us to know, is that God is our father and he loves us.  And knowing all of the things he has done for us, and knowing exactly how that has helped us allows us to take deeper decisions that can guide us to heaven. You then realize that your choices can help you reach heaven and you can see what choices and lies will lead us to the advisories grasp.

I’m doing good how about you? Our work is now better than before my new companion has a consecrated influence and he is the best. We now we have collected 4 new investigators R, B, A and her mom from a list of referrals that a member gave us.

We have been so blessed with so many miracles or tender mercies RL from Belen and the 16 referals and and our new investigators R, A and her mom and B.

Sorry that I didn't get to email Monday, so today I will just do it really quick.  I’m doing good and I have a new companion Elder Hicken who has been out a year and he is from Sandy, Utah and he’s great. :)

Brother Passows Plane

Brother Passow went on splits with us and when we got done took us to his private airport and where he flys and people to Alaska  or wherever if they need a ride.

My companion and I are doing everything that we can possibly do forward the work here.  We are praying in the morning at night, before we bike and before we drive, before we eat before and before we teach and we are trying to study “Preach My Gospel” more and we have been working harder on finding people.  We’ve been doing tracking more and we try to go to gas stations and other places to find people to talk to. One of the less active members gave us a list of 16 names so we’ve been busy meeting with them and 4 of them have invited us in and the rest have asked us to come back.
For Christmas we went to a Christmas party with the ward and spent time with some ward families it was fun but I still miss the family Christmas though

I have some pics ta-da ;)

I just wanted you to know im still rocking the bass

E at Grandpa Arroyos house

It’s barely 30 degrees here and I am doing good.  Mom we could probably change places and you could go to 30 degree El Paso and I can go to 2 degree Utah but I really miss the cold.

We have 4 investigators now and E is our best she went to Sacrament meeting Sunday.

The ward currently has 300 less actives and 120 active members So we are working with a lot of less active members.   I like teaching those families so that they can be with their member friends at church.

I’ve been learning a lot about how to schedule and how to work and tracking.  Tracking is isn’t as hard as I thought it was. It just takes sometime before you end up realizing that it’s as easy as my trainer taught me, and that it really takes nothing at all, other than realizing what you have to do in order to help this people We are currently working with the ward on sending us referrals but no such luck so we have been tracking a lot.  But there is someone who will be humble here and will want the gospel, so we keep on tracking.
